Hi there!

I'm Julia - nice to meet you!

I come from the beautiful Salzkammergut in Austria, but I'm currently living in Salzburg. I love learning new things and expanding my skill set and recently UX Design has been my focus.

Growing up, I always had a passion for art, but for reasons unknown even to me I decided to study computer science instead of pursuing an art career. And what do you know - I loved it and eventually became a software engineer!

What I did not expect: Through my computer science journey I discovered a way to combine my passion for art and engineering - UX Design.

In university I was very intrigued by HCI - I loved crafting prototypes and doing usability studies. There is something nerve-wracking, yet oddly exciting about seeing how real users use the things you thought up.

Working in a small company, I was fortunate enough to get a broad range of skills - from full-stack software engineering, all the way to UX Design, which has been my main focus since end of 2025. All while being in a very agile environment, where you get feedback as early as possible and re-iterate over your work if necessary.

Through my work as a UX Designer I want to learn how people work, what they need and how I can contribute to the best possible solution.
